Dave Abrahams
I’m a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter specializing in Hawaiian slack key guitar (ki hōʻalu). In 2003, after decades playing rock, jazz, and bluegrass, I was introduced to the rich tapestry of Hawaiian music and it captured my heart. I’ve studied under some of the great Slack Key masters, including Keola Beamer, Ledward Ka’apana, George Kahumoku, Jr., Sonny Lim, and Jeff Peterson. Besides performing solo, I play guitar and ukulele in Ka La’i O Mele, a popular Bay Area band, and frequently accompany 4-time grammy winner George Kahumoku, Jr. at his Northern California shows.
