Name: You could call me by my nickname "Danny" Age: I am 26 yrs old Favorite Movie: There are many movies that would be considered my favorite, but the two that pop into my head are "Paper Moon" and The Last Picture Show. Why? I saw Paper Moon about two years ago and I immediately loved it. It captivated me with its memorable characters and story line. I also enjoy The Last Picture Show because it gave me a feel of how it was to live life during the 1950s in a small Texas town. You get to know the characters by toughing base with their feelings and you just feel connected. Well a least that's how I feel about it. There are many other Movies I enjoy watching. Suckiest Movies: I really can not stand watching those movies that make fun of other movies (even though they may make fun of other movies I dislike). I have friends that watch these and I can not seem to sit through them. How often do I watch movies: I watch movies everyday, I would say. But I have to at least have to watch one or sometimes two movies I've never seen before each day. Favorite Quote from a movie: I have many favorite quotes as well. As a matter of fact, my brother and I say quotes back and fourth to each other to see if we could guess the correct movie, we kind of made a little game out of it. HEEEHEEEHEEE!!!! Its lots of fun :)
Name: For Internet Purposes, it's Nuit Songeur Age: 16 Fave. Movie: Too many... seriously- Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, Princess Bride, The Prince of Egypt, A Knight's Tale, Lord of the Rings and others who I can't recall Why? PHANTOM OF THE OPERA- The music. And it's such a beautiful story. TITANIC- I'm a big fan of history and stories. And love stories. And music. And romance. Titanic has all these. PRINCESS BRIDE- THE classic romance movie. You cannot claim that you like Romance unless you've seen this. THE PRINCE OF EGYPT- Again, the history, the story, and the music. So beautiful and touching. Makes me cry everytime I see. The animation is pretty top-notch as well. A KNIGHT'S TALE- Goes back to history, romance, and music (even if it's Queen's 90s). It's one of my favorite Heath Ledger movies. And Paul Bettany does a great job. Along with that other guy whose name escapes my memory. LORD OF THE RINGS- Do I seriously need to elaborate on this? Suckiest movie you've seen: Twilight Why? I didn't like the books. But that's a rant for another time. How often a month do you watch movies? Qutie a bit. You expect me to keep count? Ha! Fave. quote from a movie: "It's called a lance! 'Ello?!" (From A Knight's Tale) Or movie you love to quote from: Phantom of the Opera How did you hear about this community?: Well actually- I just recently rediscovered the Prince of Egypt and clicked on it in my "Interest" section on my profile to see if there were any communities for it. One that came up was this. Which is pretty fine by me.

Name: Sarah. I'm a princess, apparently. Age: 16 Fave. Movie: Um... must I answer this? I have a TON of favorite movies, seeing as movies are one of the most important things to me. Some of my peak, absolute favorites are American Beauty, Boys Don't Cry, Clerks, Desert Blue, Empire Records, Garden State, Gattaca, Hard Candy, Harold and Maude, House of D, Juno, Performance, What's Eating Gilbert Grape? and Young Frankenstein. So yeah... that's a lot that were eliminated. Why? American Beauty is a masterpiece in its own entirety-- the cinematography, the screenplay, the direction, the visuals, the acting... it's perfect sublimity. Boys Don't Cry literally broke my heart open. I watched it at three in the morning in my room and I felt so emotional that I started sobbing, my throat hoarse and my voice breaking. Clerks is a cult classic, and it's the first ever Kevin Smith flick. Goddamn, is this funny and smart and ironically black and white. Desert Blue speaks to me in so many ways- an unknown town where no one knows just what to do, teenagers living in a boring existence and Brendan Sexton III! How I love him! Empire Records is an amazing portrayal of life how it should be-- exuberant and laughable, and still so loving and amazing, this movie just reminds me of how much I love my friends! Garden State takes love to its logically fucking fantastic conclusion. I want to meet a bizarre-as-me guy who can fill me up like Sam and Largeman fill each other up. Gattaca was shown to me in the tenth grade by my biology teacher, and it was just fantastic! I loved the whole plot. Hard Candy features one of my favorite actresses in the world, Ellen Page! She goes from innocent, unknowing little girl to crazy-ass bitch in about ten seconds. Goddamn, I love her! Harold and Maude was best described in the film There's Something About Mary, as the greatest love story of our time. I agree, Spermhead, I agree. House of D was suggested by my best friend Jackie. I finally rented it-- and loved it! Anton Yelchin never ceases to amaze me. Juno had captured my attention the minute I had heard of it. It was a movie that I rooted for 24/7. I was so glad when the screenwriter won her Oscar! Yes! Performance is a little-seen film starring James Fox and Mick Jagger. It is confusing but so phenomenal and inspiring! I suggest you go rent it! What's Eating Gilbert Grape? earned Leonardo DiCaprio an Academy Award Nomination- AND DESERVEDLY SO! Young Frankenstein holds a lot of memories for me. It reminds me of my wacky family and how much we ADORE Mel Brooks movies. I love this one especially. Suckiest movie you've seen: That would be Stuck on You. Horrid film. Why? The acting was disgusting and the jokes were just... not funny. At all. How often a month do you watch movies? Too much, some might say! Probably ten to twenty. Fave. quote from a movie: Or movie you love to quote from: I usually quote a lot from Juno. How did you hear about this community?: Interest search for Mallrats, another one of my total favorites.

π PhotobucketBeing the first documentary I've seen in a looooooong time (at a theater anyways) I wasn't sure what to expect from Bill Maher's 'Religulous'. In short I was not disappointed; in fact I loved the movie. The "story" follows Bill Maher as he tours several countries from the US to South/Latin America, Europe and the Middle East interviewing various people (religious leaders, politicians and religious devotees) about their views on religion. Interspaced between the interviews are clips of Bill giving own take on religion's role in his own life/family and with humankind in general... let's just say it's less than favorable. Most of the interviews with church leaders, politicians and others are in a Borat type style (not surprising since the film was directed by the same person), in short, hilarious. As always, the nuts and bolts: I give it an A- overall. The brake down is: A- for editing and overall effects (no special effects here it's a documentary). The manner in which clips were shown were a vital part of making the film work so well. I give it an A for dialogue, Maher's quips and follow-ups to the statements of those being interviewed were well very sharp and he didn't allow them any "because I said so" kind of statements/logic to go unchallenged. I give the filmβs plot (message really) an A-, it was excellent and melded thoroughly into the film without being heavy-handed, with the possible exception of the very end of the film. The film's subjects (i.e. the people being interviewed) speak so well to the film's message that they could almost have been rehearsed. One word of caution to those who are religious; the film does not pull punches, something to keep in mind at any rate. In conclusion, βReligulousβ in an excellent film, certainly worth the price of the ticket for me, it's perhaps best left alone for those who consider themselves devotedly religious as they construe it as offensive.

π PhotobucketOk here it is a new X Files flick ten years after 'Fight for the Future'. The story is set in West Virgina (and other parts of the North-Eastern US). There is a great feeling of nostalgia watching the film and seeing characters who have been absent from my viewing for a long time, that as an element held the most appeal for me. The story largely revolves around the relationship between Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and how it influences the investigation of a number of strange disappearances. As always, the nuts and bolts. I give it an B- overall. The brake down is: B for special effects; the settings lent themselves well to the overall feel of the film. I give it an B- for dialogue & acting; this iteration of Scully seems a bit "the lady doth protest too much" for me, Mulder was well Mulder... 'nuff said? The plot was well 'ok', good for any crime drama but not really "X Files" enough in it's content e.g. it was too light on the Sci-fi end and felt more like a serial killer flick, I give it a B-/C+. The character development was average, I give it a B-. To those who aren't familiar with the series I think they'd be left with a sense of "WTF is up with this?" Well, that's at least a paraphrase of what my girlfriend said. In conclusion, X-files I want to believe isn't a bad film but it's not an outstanding film either. Certainly worth the price of a matinee' for me, perhaps best left as a rental for those who are not so familiar with the series.
In less then 6 months a whole bunch of ships is going to labnd on earth from Alpha-Z or maybe some other planet, populated by greys/Saurians. Reptilian, some nords (lots of them) and odd Martian or two (very odd) are all part of one conspiracy. Jihad seems to be the hand of the whole plot, they are going to weaken us emotionally and spiritually and prepare for beign enslaved by aliens.
Most of the grey aliens are goign to disguise themselves as humans, except when feeding, and pose as Christians, priests and teachers. They already have worked out a very complicated and detailed plan, it is scary how vcarefully orchestrated and rehearsed the whole thign is.
The scary thign is they are gonna be here in less than 6 months, and no one on earth knows about it or believes that it is gonna happen (this+ slavery, degradation, being killed and devoured the way abducted cows are, being cruelly tortured - greys are incredibly sadistic). And the space lizards are counting on us not knowing about them, not talking between each another about them, and being nice and obedient to them when they arrive. That's why I think we should global terrorist-attack idicator to code orange or code red and talk about it, and maybe petition US government to destroy all alien labs on Earth and in US, and end contracts which allow greys to visit earth and occasionally collect experimental material.
