Acting Like A Goddamn Grownup About Money is hard. These aren't skills we necessarily get taught, but they're skills we need.
This comm aims to provide a non-judgemental environment for people to post their findings, finances and failings in to get advice from the collective community brain.
RULES 1. No judging people. On how much or how little they earn, or how much debt they're in. No judging people on having a really bad month and ending up in more debt. We're all in glass houses, no need to throw stones. 2. No one-upmanship or one-downmanship. You know the thing where you go "Oh, your education was so CHEAP! I have $100000 worth of debt from mine!" DON'T DO IT. 3. No advertising. If you've found a good product, fine. Tell people about it. If you cross that line between "Hey guys, this stuff is great!" to "ZOMG, I GET MONEY FOR DOING THIS" I will ban you. 4. If you want to endorse another community, please contact one of the mods first. 5. No trolling or harassing another poster. If you're having problems with another member of the community, contact your mods 6. No spam.
If you break these rules, in most cases we will warn first and then ban. If your offense hurts other people, you're not getting a warning. Comments violating these rules will be screened and posts will be deleted.
As a catch-all rule for things I haven't thought about, DON'T BE AN ARSEHOLE. The mods reserve the right to decide what is arseholeish and what isn't.
