Russian forces carried out a new series of drone attacks against civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine, near the river border with Romania, in Tulcea County, informs the Ministry of National Defence on Tuesday morning,
'Two F-16 aircraft on Air Policing combat duty took off at approximately 1:45 am from the 86th Air Base in Fetesti. The National Military Command Centre (core structure) notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations regarding the implementation of public warning measures in the northern part of Tulcea County, and a RO-ALERT message was issued at 2:05 am. Ground-based radars tracked a group of drones that struck the port of Izmail in Ukraine. No radar signals were detected within Romanian national airspace. The air alert ended at 2:57 am,' the Ministry of National Defence stated in a press release.
