Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Games look fantastic and work files look super crisp. This is the only display I’ve ever seen that you can take a picture with your phone and you can’t see a single pixel. Spend the money on this, not on some crappy display and you won’t be disappointed.
Instead of buying an iMac, I chose to pair a Mac Mini with this Apple Studio Display. Since Apple laptops and iMacs can’t really be upgraded, I liked the idea of keeping the display, keyboard, and trackpad for the next 10–12 years and simply swapping in a new Mac Mini when the time comes. That way I’m only upgrading a small part of the system instead of replacing an entire computer.
With that in mind: this is hands-down the best display I’ve ever used.
Coming from a MacBook Air, the amount of screen real estate feels massive. The 5K resolution makes it easy to run multiple applications side-by-side, and everything is incredibly sharp, bright, and color-accurate. Yes, you can get a cheaper 4K monitor from other brands, but if you’re a Mac user, this gives you the complete workstation experience—excellent built-in camera, microphones that work great for FaceTime, and surprisingly impressive speakers.
And honestly, the all-aluminum build is what puts it over the top for me. It’s a work of manufacturing art.
In my opinion, pairing this with a Mac Mini feels “next level.” If you do photo or video work, it’s an obvious choice. But even if you're just considering an iMac, this setup isn’t much more expensive and gives you what I’d call the apex of the Mac desktop experience.
Apple stuff isn't cheap, but their monitors are wonderful on the eyes. Yes, I'm in the cult. I'll pay twice as much for an Apple monitor vs. some other brand. I've been looking at Apple screens since the early-90s, I stare at them 8 hours a day for work. My eyes are programmed to see them as "looking right." I really don't care for the way the camera follows you when you move. 1/ Creepy! 2/ Sometimes I want to go out of frame. But still, this monitor is amazing and worth the money
Beautiful display. Good sound and camera. Well built. Easy to setup for my needs. Works well with my two MacBook pros.
Shipped quickly and arrived without damage. Works great. Love how it elevates my office space and the picture is perfect. The set up is easy with my mac mini
Apple makes screens like no other. This screen is beautiful, amazing and I'm so happy with it! The packaging to protect the screen is beyond compare. Thanks Amazon for selling this beauty. And it was a good value and is perfectly compatible with my Mac keyboard and Mac mini computer!
This isn't a monitor. This is furniture that masquerades as a monitor in 5K.
Is it expensive. Yes. Is it the latest and greatest in technology. No -- this isn't OLED nor microLED, etc.
What you do get is arguably the best IPS display on the market that can push 600 nits of brightness.
Is it slow. Yes it is. This isn't 120Hz, 144Hz, 165Hz, 240Hz or whatever. Nope. This thing is bloated basset hound slow. It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter because you didn't buy this thing to play Doom, Fortnite or Quake on. You bought this to look at stunning images and stun they do.
It has some super helpful Type C ports if you don't already have a hub. So it's sort of like a $1600 USD USB hub, but that's okay. It's a bonus. You didn't buy this for the USB functionality, but it's there.
This monitor is a case of it is what it is. If you want furniture that doubles as a display, this is it. You have arrived.

Didn’t notice any difference from iMac 27” from 2019. Connected easily to iMac Mini. Works great but seems expensive for just a display and speakers.
