We don't collect any personal data or cookies that can be utilized to store personally identifiable information about you.
We adhere to the Interactive Advertising Bureau Europe Transparency & Consent Framework and are included on the Global Vendor List with ID 1533.
Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF)
Our technology participates in and operates in accordance with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF).
When our advertising tag is executed, consent signals — including GDPR applicability and the TC String — may be communicated to our technology via industry-standard mechanisms such as Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) and Google Ad Manager macros.
We rely on these consent signals to determine whether our tag is permitted to operate and to ensure compliance with the user's consent choices and applicable data protection requirements.
In accordance with our TCF vendor declaration, our technology may store and/or access limited information on a user's device strictly where permitted (Purpose 1), use limited data to support the selection and delivery of advertising (Purpose 2), and measure the performance of advertising (Purpose 7).
Any measurement performed by our technology, including impressions, clicks, video playback events, and creative interactions, is conducted on an aggregated and non-identifiable basis.
Our technology does not create user profiles, does not perform cross-site tracking, and does not use personal data for personalized advertising.
We do not override, modify, or circumvent the consent choices expressed by users through the publisher's CMP.
Our technology acts solely as a service provider to publishers and does not independently determine or alter the legal basis for processing personal data.
Our registered TCF purposes and legal bases are publicly available in the IAB Europe Global Vendor List.
Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA)
Purpose of the Processing
Recod3 processes limited technical data strictly necessary for the delivery and aggregated performance measurement of digital advertising creatives within publisher environments.
Processing activities may relate to the following TCF Purposes declared under Legitimate Interest:
Purpose 1
Store and/or access information on a device
Purpose 2
Select basic ads
Purpose 7
Measure ad performance
Recod3 does not engage in behavioural advertising, profiling, cross-site tracking, or user-level identification.
Legitimate Interest Pursued
The legitimate interest pursued by Recod3 consists of:
Enabling the technical delivery of advertising creatives
Measuring creative performance (e.g., impressions, clicks, video quartiles, user interactions)
Ensuring operational integrity and reporting for advertisers and publishers
These activities are essential for the functioning, billing, optimisation, and transparency of advertising campaigns within the Open Internet ecosystem.
Necessity Test
The processing carried out by Recod3 is necessary for the purposes described above because:
Performance measurement requires technical signals generated during ad delivery
Aggregated reporting cannot be achieved without processing limited event-based technical data
No less intrusive alternative would allow accurate verification of ad delivery and performance
Processing is strictly limited to what is necessary to achieve these purposes.
Nature of the Data Processed
Recod3's processing:
Is limited to event-based and technical data
Is used solely for aggregated statistical reporting
Does not involve profiling or behavioural analysis
Does not involve creating user profiles
Does not involve combining datasets across publishers
Data is processed in a manner that minimises identifiability and is not used to directly identify individuals.
Balancing Test
Recod3 has assessed whether its legitimate interests are overridden by the interests, rights, or freedoms of data subjects.
The assessment concluded that:
The processing is limited in scope
It does not involve intrusive tracking or profiling
It is aligned with users' reasonable expectations in the context of digital advertising
It supports transparency and accountability in advertising measurement
It operates within the IAB Europe TCF framework
Users retain the right to object to processing based on Legitimate Interest via CMP interfaces
Appropriate safeguards are implemented to minimise risks to data subjects.
Safeguards Implemented
Recod3 applies the following safeguards:
Processing limited to aggregated performance metrics
No behavioural advertising or personalised profiling
No participation in RTB bid-stream processing
Real-time respect of TCF signals
Data minimisation and purpose limitation principles
Transparent disclosure through the IAB Global Vendor List and Recod3's Privacy Policy
Conclusion
Based on the assessment above, Recod3 concludes that its legitimate interests in delivering and measuring digital advertising creatives are not overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of data subjects.
Processing remains proportionate, limited, and subject to safeguards that ensure compliance with the GDPR and the IAB Europe TCF Policies.
