( click for HOT new flierCollapse )In fact, to make things super special, we'll be Deathrockin' out throughout the month of July, with DJ Dayglo [formerly of Horrorshow!] on July 6th- that's NEXT WEEK!- to kick things off properly. We'll be announcing future guest DJs as we get them. As usual, expect free admission, drink specials, cool ghouls, and the best creepy music we can dig up...but now, multiple times EVERY month! i released an ep back in january of my music ( mastako). i have a full band now, and i'm trying to get my cds out to different stores, so people can see my name a bit more often. i was wondering if anyone knew some records stores in the dc area (even md would be cool) that i could sell my cd at? crooked beats is selling them already, and i'm planning on contacting revolution and smash. any help would be appreciated. & thanks for helping me out with the booking company..i got a lot of great responses. |

hi everyone. i'm austin hays from the local band mastako, and i'm trying to start a booking company in dc. dc has a lot of great bands, but i don't think there are enough FAIR all age venues for unpopular/up-and-coming bands to play. so here is my predicament. there's nowhere (that i know of) to host shows. so i'm looking for a spot to rent out or just work with the people there to set up shows. even a house would work.
there's electric maid.. but i know those people are extremely unreliable. grog and tankard won't (continually) book bands unless they can bring 25+ kids. and i don't know who to speak to at the warehouse, nor wmuc regarding this.
any help, suggestions, or opinions would be appreciated. |

What: The Ubu Roi Project is preforming free street theater
A show based off of the Alfred Jarry's 1896 anarchist play Ubu Roi.
When: 6:20pm on Tueday, May 10th
Where: Baltimore, MD
The park between the 700 and 800 blocks of St Paul Street. by Monument street
The show discusses many of the political problems in our country: domestic, local, and national. It goes into 3 political issues such as the ban of Gay Marriage, the asswholes running our country, and the shittyness of the baltimore public school system. it would be awesome if you all could come!
