Local, well-established pop/punk band look for a member. Looking for a bass player who can sing that would be willing to travel to the flowery branch area for practice and would be willing to tour. Reply back with a myspace link, a number, or an email address, and a little info about yourself.

Hey guys,

I'm looking for dealers of hand percussion in Atlanta, specifically Middle-Eastern drums (dumbek/darabuka/tabla from Egypt or Turkey). I don't even know where to begin looking- I'm from Chattanooga and would rather come down to Atlanta to try them out rather than order blindly off the internet.

Any ideas of where to look?

thanks!

Do you play some sort of horn and like making a ruckus? Do you want to use your talent to energize progressive events in atlanta and have a lof of fun with a diverse group of radical progressives? Do you want to be in a marching band that will never play a souza march ?

Is there a band or group interested in a gig swap in the fall?? I'd really like to play in Athens again. You have to have a similar sound as myself i.e. indie pop,experimental,Alt-country, singer/songwriter Not your typical coffee shop performer.....

My sound is dreamy, electric and thoughtful. Check me out http://www.performermag.com/sep.spot03.0707.php

My name is Sara Crawford, and I have written a play called Painted. The play is going to be produced at The Art Place in Marietta Septmeber 27, 28, and October 4, 5.

There is a fictional pop-punk band called The Fingers in the play, and one of their songs is heard. I want to get an upbeat, pop-bunk, Blink 182-sounding song from an unsigned or local band.

If you have a song that you think would be good for this, please e-mail me at scrawford85@gmail.com.

This would be excellent exposure as I would put your band's name in the program and a web address.

The band I am with Hyperdrive will be playing Friday night at the Sci Fi Summer convention.

We play a mix of covers and originals based around Sci Fi, Fantasy and Horror genres.

Our current set list includes original songs like Professional Zombie and Night of Fires (about the Battle for the Planet of the Apes) as well as covers of Concrete Blonde, Nerf Herder, Bauhaus and many more.

The price at the door is 15 bucks. We tried to get a show only price but no such luck this year. But we are worth the 15!!!

Come out and support your local musical geeks!!!

I'm Jason from the Rock, Blues band Trygemany(myspace.com/trygemanyband). We're touring through the states and got a little behind on booking. We're looking for places to play in Atlanta, Macon, Valdosta, etc. from May 12th - 17th.

If any band wants to help us land a show, we can offer Show Trading in Metro-Detroit or elsewhere.

If you can't help us find a show, but would like to play with us, contact me and we might be able to get you into something aswell.

E-mail: comm-298177828@craigslist.org (it's from my craigslist ad. We all hate spam and spam robots, don't we?). You can also contact me directly on my myspace page(see the top friends on Trygemany's Page)

Thanks!

I'm throwing a 50th Wedding Anniversary party for my Grandparents and I've got most of the details worked out. My next hurdle is to find a band, so I figured what better place to look than here, eh? Below is a list of specifications that the band must be able to meet:

WHO:
You!

WHAT:
The 50th Wedding Anniversary Party of Chris and Loretta. We're looking for a band to play between 3 and 4 hours worth of 50's, 60's and 70's music. Some suggestions include the following:

50's: "Peppermint Twist", "I Only Have Eyes for You", "Kansas City", "Be-Bop-A-Lula",
60's: "96 Tears", " Baby I Need Your Lovin'", "Bad Moon Rising", "Born To Be Wild"
70's: "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing (In Perfect Harmony)", "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty", "Give Me Just A Little More Time"
Bands: The Beatles, KC and the Sunshine Band,

The lyrics can be found here: http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/x-filesepisodes/misty.htm

Although we fully understand the desire for bands to be original by remaking songs or singing their own, it's our preference that the songlist stays on the type of music listed above and that the songs don't vary too much from their original recordings.

Dress is casual/business casual, but please leave your butt-less jeans at home :)

WHEN:
The party will be on Saturday night, February 24th, 2007 and we want the band to BEGIN PLAYING at 7:30pm. You may arrive as far in advance as you like to set up, and you may tune up, etc BEFORE the party begins (at 7pm), but we request the actual music doesn't start into full swing until 7:30pm.

WHERE
The Clubhouse at The Plantation Resort in Villa Rica, Georgia.

We are willing to pay $100/hr to the band. We do have a budget on what we can spend on this particular portion of the party, so this is a firm offer.

Please respond as soon as possible. Before choosing a band, we need to be able to hear a demo of what you can do. If you're going to post your website or myspace, please link me DIRECTLY to the demo so I don't have to search around for it. I'm also planning my best friend's wedding and a baby shower, so I don't have time to sift through a website to find things. If you have a demo of something similar to what we're looking for, that would be especially helpful. You can send any files to stephaniewallace@gmail.com If you leave a comment here or send me an email, please include the following information:

Band's Name
How I can get in touch with you
Comments/thoughts on what's been said above
Link to website/myspace/livejournal and/or demo
any other pertinent information that you think is necessary

I look forward to hearing from you guys and I can't wait to see what bands step up! We will be booking the band by February 1st, so please respond as quickly as possible!! Thanks!

Yes yes I know I could hop on down to Music World and use American Express to buy the latest $10,000 technology, but let's pretend I don't have an amex or that much money to spend.

So.. Anyone have suggestions on an affordable USB input device which will alllow mulitiple track recording? I need more than 4 ins (2 pairs) -- I'm thinking at least 8 1/4" ins with an xlr or two.

Where: Spring 4th

Description:
End of the World Party- 18+ 10 bucks or 7 with flyer and in before 12am. Discount for extreme costumes also! Lots of DJ's, all kind of styles of music.

If you come in any kind of "end of the world outfit" (Road Warrior. Waterworld, Escape from New York, etc,,) then you get in for 7 bucks anytime that night. Simular themed movies will play all night, on the dance floor you can watch whats going on with our live roaming El'vi Cam, get naughty and get a lolipop or some "END of the World" beads.

I bought my ticket for Project 9 6 1's New Years Eve Party and now I found out that I will be out of town next weekend. I am selling for $100. This is cheaper than it can be bought for now. Just in-case you haven't heard about this event. Check out the link below.
