The main purpose of the package is to clean up the output of specific security programs/scripts, such as rkhunter, where egrep warnings significantly obstruct the output. The package basically replicates the modifications done to grep in other distributions (e.g., Ubuntu) to streamline output.
The warnings are there for a reason. What purpose does this package serve?
