It does not make sense to say this is based on the 'dsd branch', as there is no such branch.

This is the 'dsd fork' of sox.

THis is a new branch of sox for converting PCM to DSD and vice-versa, see https://github.com/mansr/sox http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f11-software/direct-stream-digital-encoding-sox-25556/ Examples: For the highest quality in the conversion to DSD64 the command line is something like this: sox in.flac out.dsf rate sdm -f -v 2822400 hq To convert from DSD64 to DSD256: sox in.dsf out.dsf rate gain 6 installments -v -v 88200 11289600 sdm (the library is not yet optimized for frequencies greater than DSD64)
