"Look at that.Guess there is no escaping this stuff after all. Here I thought to hell with it.And now it goes and saves my life"-Akiyama Shun
SPOILERS AHEAD
this is probably my 2nd favorite yakuza or even my all-time favorite,i really liked the 4 main characters thing, and i was really hyped when they all team up for the finale on chapter 5,im gonna start talking about each one of them starting with my least favorite to my least favorite in this game.
4th one is Taiga Saejima,i didn't really like his gameplay,i don't like all the tank type character but i recon that he is very strong and is not bad in fights but i didn't really enjoy the combat, his story is like the 2nd best for me tho,all the jailbreak with Hamazaki and the manhunt for majima is really cool.3rd place goes to kiryu because his story takes like 2 hours to complete and is all the same thing, you talk to someone and they go somewhere and after that you fight some minor boss and the chapter ends, and it isn't great either, the only fight i liked was against tanimura and akiyama because i find it cool to fight against the other character, gameplay wise i dont have much to talk about because it's the same as yakuza 3 but more overpowered, many of the things u have for kiryu at the beginning were things you upgraded in the third game and i think its cool because that gives me a feeling of succession.2nd one goes to akiyama, the first playable character in this game, hes introduced as a lazy-ass loan shark who only lends money to people who pass on his tests, his story resolves around a manhunt for arai-san after he shot and killed a lieutenent of one of the rivals tojo clan families, and you go side by side with kido doing that,in the meanwhile you get a new client named "lily" who is actually Yasuko Saejima, and shes request a loan of 100 million yen, which you end giving because she passed on the test, but that isn't the real motive according to Hana(your secretary)because she thinks that you only gave her the money because she reminded you of your ex-girlfriend,and after akiyama refuses to recon that Hana leaves Sky Finance and leaves you, gameplay wise his style is cool but not the best, hes very fast and has really cool heat actions ,hes fighting depends highly on kicks, which reminded me of Sanji from "One Piece"(my favorite character) and i found it really stylish, even the music has that jazzy flow going on just like Sanji's theme,i don't know if it was an inspiration but it really seems like it and that's cool asf.1st one and my favorite character in the game is Masayoshi Tanimura,a Cop/Detective and the 3rd character you play as,his story revolves around discovering the truth about his father's death on the day the ueno sewa hit took place, the same hit that put saejima in the joint for not 10 years ,but 25 years in the joint,as the story progresses youu find out that pretty much all the police force is corrupt and the sewa hit was just a cover for the grand scheme that the police were trying to pull,i won't say much because i want whoever is reading this to really experience the peak that takes place on the 3rd chapter of this game because it's just incredible, tanimuras fighting style is my favorite in the game, bringing a new technique called "parry" to the game, his attacks depend greatly on that parry but his grab was what really shined for me because its the best in the game, tanimura along with the normal grab has what i called the "police grab"which you can do by pressing circle after the normal grab which makes tanimura grab him in a different position which u can then use to kick him in the chin or just drop him on the ground his combos are really cool and if u upgrade one of his abilities that lets him use a heat action after a finishing blow he becomes a complete undefeatable monster and no one can do nothing against you.
Talking about the last chapter is gonna be difficult because it is just epic asl,the 4 protagonist put on a black suit and get to the top of the millenium tower with 100 billion yen by helicopter and quietly choose who to fight ,akiyama fights arai, saejima fights kido, kiryu fights daigo and tanimura fights the deputy commisioner of the police ,"For Faith"(the theme song who plays in all the fights)is such a banger that i can't dislike but i would like if in the tanimura fight it played with lyrics because i think that would be a cool way to end the game and the last fight.
Minigames in this are also the best in the series, alongside the top tier karaoke songs you have a new minigame that i really loved TABLE TENNIS that is a really fun game although im total shit at it,bowling is cool, arcade games are the same as always and u have some new ones like that underground mad scientist machine that i forgot the name.
all i have to say is that this game and everything in it is epic and i give it a easy 4,5+/5.

"A Red Apple Fell From The Sky"
I don't have a nice quote to start this review, not because the game doesn't have nice quotes, but because there aren't any that can convey the emotion and happiness I felt when I played it. This is one of those games that makes me happy just thinking about them. I'm eternally grateful to the 11-year-old me who downloaded the demo of this game from the Playstation Store and enjoyed the gameplay, and I'm even more grateful to the me who saw this game on Plus and remembered the incredible experience he had when he played it for the first time. I had never played the first Gravity Rush when I played this one, and fortunately I don't think that changed my enjoyment of the game at all. Everything about this game is beautiful, the art style, the world, the characters, the story, etc. The style in which the story is told is beautiful. The game presents the missions in Storyboards as if I were reading a comic book. Although there is no dubbing in any language, I think that was for the best. It's not like the game doesn't have any decent voices. none, occasionally you hear an "Ahh", a "Grr" and other things like that, apart from the names of the characters that are said from time to time, I think the fact that this is an interactive comic is elegant and gives a certain charm to the game that I had never seen in anything before.
Regarding the game's narrative, it is short but full of content, from the beginning with that gravitational storm in which you have to escape with Syd until the last fight as Destroyer of Worlds, or even the last scene of mission 27 "Black Cat" where you can see the silhouette of what appears to be Kat and that by Raven's reaction it is possible that it really is her, which leaves us with an incredible cliffhanger for a possible third game, that is if Japan Studio had not been closed in 2021, thus making the return of the adorable duo Kat and Raven unlikely. Gameplay Wise I loved this game, the control of gravity and the technique of changing the center of gravity of the world so that you can go from one end to the other and thus "fly" in a certain way, the combat although it is not the main focus does not leave anything to be desired since it tries to use the game's gravity system to the maximum for Kat's blows, the world map is another of the countless things that I find artistically incredible in the game, from Jirga Para Lhao to Hekseville everything in them is beautiful, but my favorite is definitely Jirga Para Lhao, from its much more vivid colors to the way everything is organized, the market area is in the middle, the rich live at the top and the less fortunate at the bottom, thus making the commercial area/the middle of the city replicate the social pyramid of the city, up there we see large mansions and very similar people, in the middle we see average people with nothing very remarkable about them because they are mostly merchants and live in relatively small apartments and below is where you see reality the situation, people living in small wooden houses crowded together in a small space, barefoot children playing in the dirty earth and the high concentration of nevi there, thus putting the lives of all who live there at risk, it is also there that the entire gang of the Angry Centipedes is found, a group of criminals who often have to go to the top to steal supplies to help those who live below so that they do not all give in to misery, the blame for all the misfortune that rests on the shoulders of those who have the most power in that civilization which in this case is the army that lives above even the richest, and this represents the real predator of the pyramid, the oppressive army that refuses to help or even alleviate the situation of the most disadvantaged, that steals even from the richest and takes advantage of the merchants, Hekseville is another that did not escape the years that its protector was away, now commanded and monitored by the gringos (patrol robots that spy on the daily lives of the citizens of Hekseville and control all your movements)other than that the city remains the same as the first game with some minimal changes such as the relocation of Pandora's Destinations to the entertainment district.
Kat is probably my favorite part of the game, a young, cheerful and friendly girl who is always helping everyone with even the smallest problems (this was also one of the only games in which I did all the side missions because I really enjoyed doing them and because they didn't seem repetitive or something that strayed too far from what Kat would do). I don't know why I like her so much but the truth is that I really like her and she is capable of being one of my favorite protagonists/characters in any game, from her design to her way of acting and personality there is nothing she has done that I didn't like or think is out of character, even her final act where she sacrificed herself to stop the Destroyer of Worlds from destroying Hekseville and Jirga Para Lhao, sealing him away at the bottom of the world where she needs to stay so that he will never again threaten everyone's lives. Her true identity is also something that sparked my interest since she was the last queen of Eto (Alua is her real name) who disappeared more than 100 years ago, even though she appeared so young, I won't go into big spoilers but I just want to say that after that we also discover Syd's past (the police officer with whom Kat created a bond after falling into Hekseville in the first game). Truth be told, he was actually Queen Alua's butler and fell with her into Hekseville but woke up first and still remembered everything, so he orchestrated a plan so that the citizens of Hekseville would trust her so that when the Destroyer of Worlds came she would have the support of the entire city in her final fight (he already knew because Kat/Alua had already noticed that the gravitational storm was slowly rising and that it would soon reach the people below), thus having to create Alias (the villain from the first game who was actually Syd the whole time).
Another thing I would like to talk about is the game's soundtrack, which for me and probably many others gave them a familiar feeling and this is not by chance, this is due to the fact that the main composer of the game is Kohei Tanaka, the same man who made several of the songs that are heard throughout the anime "One Piece" and who to this day continues to have space in the composition of the same soundtrack, and considering that I have watched One Piece since I was very young it is natural that the music gives me a feeling of comfort and nostalgia which certainly also helped a lot in the fact that I love the game.
I think this game is one of Sony's greatest successes and I'm glad I had the opportunity to play it. It's a shame that the studio responsible for it has closed and that it's unlikely that a third game will ever arrive, but hope dies last and I'll happily wait as long as necessary until that day comes. For me this is an easy 10/10 and it's in my top 5.

This was probably my least favorite yakuza game until now and it only took me 3 days to complete,i didnt really like the middle part of the game to be honest,i really liked the dad simulator on the first 5-6 hours but when you return to kamurocho the game begins to be more of the same as the other ones, the ending is cool with the raid on the hospital and all the endless fighting that happens there,i like the new characters like Mine,Kanda,Nakahara,Saki, all the kids in the orphanage(expecially Taichi),Mikio and expecially Rikiya,i was really sad when he died and the fact that that was one of the only times i've seen kiryu cry is wild to say the least, really felt it on my skin, they also killed Mine who was also a good character and it seems that in this game they just wanted to make me suffer by killing people that i liked, gameplay isn't good but neither bad, combat is not as slow as id expect it to be because this is 2010 game, the only thing i didn't like was that the street fights aren't as they used to in previous games, they just stand in a corner and wait for you to pass by so they can harass you, overall this is a 3,5/5 and the worst yakuza game till now(i played gaiden, zero, kiwami, kiwami 2 and now 3 by this order)really looking forward to playing yakuza 4 as i know u can play as 4 characters and Tanimura seems cool as hell.
