Ephemeral Mists is a new musical project by composer Brett Branning (also the composer for The synthetic dream foundation & Abandoned Toys). "Moon Ritual" is the debut cd, out now on Mythical records.

The sound of the project is best described as downtempo ambient new age music mixed with ethnic world musics in the vein of "Karma" era Delerium, Amethystium, and Steve Roach. Its really a very intoxicatingly beautiful creation and I sincerely recommend it to anyone into newage music styles. I'm looking forward to further releases by this project.

Hey everyone... I downloaded this recently, just cause it said "Enya - Amarantine" on it and I was curious to see what it was. After listening to it, I know for fact it's not, since I heard the "Amarantine" broadacast on BBC Radio 2, but it does sound very Enya-ish. I doubt it's actually her, though, and the vocals remind me of someone else I can't quite place, so I was wondering if anyone here could help me identify who the heck it is! It sounds similar to Ronan Hardiman's work, or maybe Jayne Ellison w/Philip Riley? Maybe even Phil Coulter... I can't find new releases from either of these people, though, so I decided to upload a brief sample of the track to see if anyone could help. Does anyone here know where this song comes from or who does it? I'm like, 90% sure it's not Enya, though if it was, it'd be a decent departure of her sound while still keeping lots of familiar elements... Thanks for any help!
