1918
Following World War I, the Carlton company of the Queen of England invested in the purchase of the most beautiful buildings in France.
In Paris, Cannes, Lyon, Lille... All inherited the name Carlton as their common feature.
The Carlton Hotel Lille thus pays tribute to British royalty, as evidenced by the crown atop the Coupole.
1945
Once again destroyed during World War II, the Carlton Hotel Lille was rebuilt identically by Mr. Grosse before being sold to Mr. Carnaille, and then to Mr. Franchois.
1980s
Many celebrities such as Whitney Houston, Jacques Chirac, and Jean-Paul Belmondo have stayed at the Carlton Hotel Lille, which remains a prime address for public figures to this day.
2016
Miguel and Anne-Solene Toulemonde bought the hotel and undertook significant renovation work to transform it.
The main goal? To offer a wonderful visual, olfactory, and auditory experience and an invitation to travel. At the pinnacle of this harmonious blend of heritage, luxury, and location, the most iconic suite in Lille, the Coupole, proudly overlooks the heart of the capital of Flanders.

We were in junior suite. Gorgeous room and very spacious. Staff friendly. We didnt have breakfast included so cannot comment on food. Would definitely stay here again. Lille is charming.
