For Nano this year, my main character is a eunuch. I've also undertaken a set of 100 drabbles about the characters of the book in order to see more about their character and with the two of those things in mind, I realised I could post them on here.

So my question is this: Is anyone interested in a twisted mad steampunk scientist who castrated himself in his early teens and has a fixation on sex? I will f-lock the posts of course (this comm does say it's for erotica, so I don't see a problem with the posts simply being f-locked rather than stored offsite).

Yes, the month of May is coming up fast, so if you haven't submitted your drawings to me yet (in fact, nobody has -- yet), please do so!

If I don't have a minimum of five contest entries from a minimum of three applicants, by May 7th, I will extend the contest by another month, which might actually work out best, cos I have no clue when the cover-art is going to be done and I'm still editing and embellishing the text.

If you can't draw, either, feel free to suggest to your friends who *can* that they may want to join one of these communities to enter.

Well, OK, I sort of can draw, but I'm never happy enough with it.  I paint better, but everything I paint ends up looking vaguely Mycenaean.

So now for the contest!

I'm writing a book.  The main character is Peter West, a man born with albinism in 1959 whose mother castrated him at the age of nine.  He was then sent to live with his formerly estranged uncle and then became a singer, first a classical recitalist and then went on to front a few "New wave" or "avantgarde" music projects with his boyfriend Ripley Haggarty.  Never mega-popular, but well-respected and regarded as "heroic" and "inspirational" by his fans.

There's also an important female character, Lillian Donaghue (a relative of Gaz's), but I haven't really made an effort to draw a rough idea of what she looks like yet.  She and Gaz both have dark auburn and moss-green eyes hair and freckles on the backs of their necks.  Gaz's favourite bands are The Jam and The Small Faces, and he dresses like it.  Lillian is described as "a plump gregarious woman hoovering just a hair above 5'1" who dresses more conservatively than she speaks and thinks."

Rough estimates on heigh:  Peter is 6'0", Ripley is about 5'6", Gaz is 5'3"

Now, I already have a person who offered to do the cover art, but if you want to win a free book, feel free to draw me your own interpretation of Peter West.  Voting will happen the second week of May, voting will end June 1st.  Whoever gets the most votes for their drawing of Peter solo and Peter with one other character will each get a book.

1. Maximum of two drawings per person.  One of Peter solo and one of Peter with another primary character at most.


2. Drawings may be in colour or in black&white


3. Drawings must be received no later than Monday, May 7, 2007 -- that's almost four weeks away.

Voting will conclude on June 1, 2007 and the prize will be awarded no later than the last day of July (I'm still polishing up a few things and waiting for my cover-art).  You're totally allowed to harass me about when you're getting your book.  If, for some reason, the book cannot be made available, I will award the winners with a PayPal Gift Certificate for $15 each (the price of the book).

This is a comic book character of a project I'm hoping to get online this christmas. It was fun trying to draw a body type that you couldn't hope to see in real life, but I did look at photographs of eunuchs and of course we've all seen clothed castrati. Eh.. I still think his body type should be a bit different. But I'm pleased with it as an illustration.

(I suppose I'm right in assuming illustrations count as erotica, not just stories..)

OK, so I'm Ruadhan and I created this wonderful community.  Long story short, I'm a "natural eunuch" of some form or another (I'm not getting into the details with a bunch of weirdos on teh Intarwebz ;-p) and, oddly enough, I find eunuch porn highly sexy.  I'm also working on a novel that's a loose allegorical interpretation of my own life as a musician, so one of these days, I'll probably post bits on here, but today is not one of those days.  I've been up for many hours baking custards for dinner tonight, so please pardon me for being a bad moderator.
