and if there are some suggestions as to icons, interests, or other info page stuff, think of something and send it my way, i'll be sure to add it.
the women mentioned on the 'interests' section are the ones i got from Fender's top 10 greatest female bassists. number one, was Carol Kaye who rightly deserves that spot. second, is my true love, Tina Weymouth, formerly of Talking Heads and now has a band with husband Chris Frantz also of TH, called the Tom Tom Club, you should definetly check them out they're really funky, in an 80s sort of way.
by the way, my name is Emma. i'm the owner/moderator/creator of this lovely shindig, and i fucking love bass. ive been playing since i was 13, havent really kept up with it because i dont actually have one right now. i made a dumb mistake in high school and i sold it to someone who didnt even play it. im pretty much self taught, though my sister taught me some things she picked up on guitar, and i really suck at playing but ya know what? i dont give a damn. the sweet sounds of the low end make me happy no matter what skill level.
anyhoo... i might be making up some advertising, if anyone would like to distribute. im not exactly anticipating alot of people to join, but if things change then in the future i'll probably name a moderator. *shrug* who knows.
in the mean time, post anything you'd like. pictures, tabs, bands you cant live without, songs with a good bass line, whatever.
