ChatPlace is an AI growth platform for content creators: bloggers, coaches, fitness trainers, beauty experts, and small business owners who run their businesses primarily from a phone. Its products analyze creators' Instagram accounts and run content production, audience communication, and lead conversion on autopilot for 100,000 monthly active users.

With Claude, ChatPlace achieved:

Beyond generic content creation 

A creator running a solo business on Instagram has to produce expert content to build credibility, viral content to grow reach, engagement that turns the audience to customers, and deliver the actual product or service. "Doing all of that at a high level, alone, is simply not realistic," said Ilia Pankratov, CEO of ChatPlace. The team felt AI was failing creators in two specific ways.

The first failure was voice. ChatPlace's early experiments with other models produced responses that creators' audiences immediately read as robotic. Once that happened, the creator's trust with paying customers and followers eroded. The team found generic chatbot text was worse than no chatbot at all. 

The second failure was access. The AI tools that could theoretically help required extensive prompt engineering, a skill most creators didn’t have time to develop. "Few people understand how to do this well," Pankratov noted, describing the coaches, nutritionists, and beauty bloggers ChatPlace serves.

From five tools to a single chat thread 

ChatPlace tested multiple model providers before settling on Claude Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku. The decision came down to three capabilities: conversational authenticity, multi-step workflow execution, and context across long sessions. In a blind comparison with early testers of the product, nine out of ten users preferred Claude's responses. Other models lost context mid-sequence in agentic workflows or degraded over long conversations. Claude held across all three.

"Our entire product is text: carousels, DM responses, Reels scripts,” said Pankratov. “The quality of that text is our value proposition. Claude models come at a premium, and we chose them anyway. When AI represents a creator to their paying customers, poor quality doesn't just reduce results, it destroys trust and kills retention."

The architecture is tiered. Claude Sonnet 4.6 powers the primary experience, Claude Haiku 4.5 is used heavily for sub-agent and intent-routing layers across the platform, and Claude Opus 4.7 runs the most complex reasoning tasks. The split keeps quality high where it matters most and cost manageable at scale.

On top of that architecture, ChatPlace built a system that handles the entire Instagram growth workflow. Virale, their content agent built with Claude Code, scans live Instagram data in the creator's niche, language, and country to find what's performing this week. The agent then runs the full production sequence in one conversation: niche research, script writing, cover image generation, chatbot creation, and publication to Instagram. The workflow used to require five separate tools and several hours; it now runs from a single chat thread.

Virale's memory accumulates real data from audience conversations, automation interactions, and content performance over time. A creator can ask "research my audience, what are their main pain points?" and receive a structured breakdown by audience segment, derived from actual subscriber interactions rather than templates. The longer the account is connected, the more precise the intelligence becomes.

The second product, AI Agent, handles Instagram DMs and comments in the creator's documented voice. It reads text, voice messages, images, videos, and forwarded content; qualifies leads against the creator's actual products and pricing; re-engages conversations that go quiet; books meetings in Google Calendar; passes lead data into CRMs; and processes payments. The full sales loop closes without the creator needing to be online.

ChatPlace also built an MCP connector that lets Claude act directly inside Instagram. A creator can ask Claude to research their audience, build an automation, or analyze content performance, and the actions execute on their live account.

Double the user base

User growth doubled after Virale launched, including reactivation of users who had previously churned because of content creation friction. Active creators report saving 15-20 hours per week across content production and DM management, with reported revenue increases of 15-40% attributed to consistent posting and faster lead response. 

"It's like I finally hired a team, except it's just me and AI, and the AI already knows my business," one creator told the company. Creators got their evenings and weekends back, and their leads stopped going cold.

Internally, ChatPlace runs on the same AI it sells. Engineering velocity is roughly 3x faster, with Claude Code working across architecture, code generation, debugging, and documentation. The marketing team uses Virale to produce ChatPlace's content. Customer support runs on Claude connected to the live backend. "We built the tools, and we run on them ourselves," said Pankratov.

Next is video. The natural extension of the script-to-publication pipeline is generating short-form Reels from the same conversation that today produces a carousel post, completing the loop from idea to published video. ChatPlace is also working on knowledge retrieval architectures as the AI Agent scales across thousands of concurrent accounts and millions of conversations. "We're figuring out how to surface the most relevant context from large, multi-account databases without sacrificing response quality or speed," said Pankratov.
