May I ask when a new user is allowed to upload PDF files? What are the requirements for a user to be able to upload PDFs?

Currently, I am working on the Indonesian Wikisource Mentorship program, which is aimed at new Wikisource contributors. Most of our participants are new Wikimedia Commons users and are unable to upload books to Commons.

I was wondering how long they need to wait before they can upload PDF files.

@Quraeni, I think it is because they are not autopatrolled, which we unlikely grant to new users. See COM:Autopatrolled. _signed, Aafi 07:57, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
