Well……..the album we have been telling you about for 2 years, the album that everyone has been asking us about for 2 years, the album that has broken our pockets and consumed us since we started writing it in the summer of 2003 is in stores today-October 18th 2005.
It has really been a very difficult road for us, but the choice to turn down all the offers from record labels is one we are very happy with. We are sorry it has taken so long to get it out and for all the delayed release dates but things have just been so BIZARRE, everything that could go wrong-did.
Check this out-just in the past few months:
-August: Asked to tour country with KMFDM in Sept/Oct
-Release date pushed from August 30th to September 27th
-September:KMFDM dates fall through, leaving us with no tour dates for Cd release.
-Release Date pushed from Sept 27th to October 11th then to October 18th
-October 13th the albums arrive with the booklet pages printed in the wrong order, 1000 sent out to stores with this mistake.
-Oct 15th Squid falls resulting in a hairline fracture in his wrist and arm, we had to cancel our first few cd release shows. Toronto, St. Catharine’s and Charlottetown –WE OWE YOU!
NONETHELESS!!! The album is finally here and in stores across Canada or online at www.maplemusic.com. If your local store doesn’t have it ask them to order one for you, if you see it for more than 18 bucks please don’t buy it, tell us where it was and order it online instead.
Check out Matt on TSN’s Off The Record today at 6pm eastern time, he is in Toronto all day doing press: Much News, New Music and a bunch of others. There is a feature on us in this week’s Coast in Halifax and the tour in Atlantic Canada Nov 15-23 with Walter Schreifels is on! Check out Walter on track 4 and stay tuned for a new video in the works for “These Four Corners”.
With a new website there is always technical issues, we have worked a few bugs out and the website, seems to be back and the message board is up…..lets see your reviews of the new album!
Make sure to remember to pick up this record! If its not in a store near you – ask for it
