Phil Jourdan of the UK electronic rock act Paris and the Hiltons announced the release his third album, "Reading Journals." The album is being released in three stages, and upon completion will boast 22 tracks. The first installment, "Reading Journals, Part One: Puzzles of Ithaca" features 7 songs that are based loosely on William Faulkner's book Absalom, Absalom.
Commenting on how his latest album is different from the prior two, Jourdan responded, "This album really has scope. It's a twenty-two track work and includes jazz, rock, electronica, weird avant-garde stuff, ballads, jams, IDM beats, and so on. It sounds different from what people would have expected from us, but I think it sounds better, too. And the focus on literature is important as well, because it let us go in a direction that most people don't think of going." He continued, "Basing the album on works of fiction meant I had to reread things, figure out what I wanted to focus on, and discard themes in those books that I knew were important but that didn't particularly move me."

Eliot Wayne’s “Lost In You” is absolutely “music to the ears.” The video shows the 3 member Austin, Texas band performing “Lost In You” and trust me, if you like rock and roll, or if you like great music at all, then this is a video to watch. “Lost In You” was written by Eliot Wayne, who also plays guitar and sings lead vocals. Nick Louis is on bass and Brannen Temple is on drums. The band calls their brand of music “new alternative heavy blues rock,” but whatever you call it, you have to call it good. Well written lyrics with really crisp rock and rock music and good harmonies make “Lost In You” a winner for both the band and the viewer.

San Francisco Bay area singer/songwriter Tony Adamo delivers some of his best work to date with his remake of Tower of Power’s “Groove Therapy.” “Groove Therapy” is a cut from Adamo’s CD Straight Up Deal, and this is a vibrant, earthy track with a definite 70s feel and all the funk you can handle. The horn section features members of the original Tower of Power horn section, and Tony smoothly delivers the “therapy,” musically speaking, that is. The “doctor” is definitely in the house. With crisp music, a nice guitar solo break, and the band at the top of their game, “Groove Therapy” comes together in a style that most can only envy. Adamo seems to have fun with this track with his deep, sultry, and commanding voice, and the expertise from the horn and percussion sections put the song into overdrive.

Новый сольный альбом басиста DEEP PURPLE Роджера Гловера (Roger Glover) "If Life Was Easy" увидит свет на лейбле ear MUSIC / Edel. Диск, который последует за "Snapshot" (2002), был записан еще в 2007 году, но увидит свет только сейчас. Дата релиза - 29 июля 2011 года.

Hello! I've recently been introduced to the amazingness that is , after being coerced into writing an article for the this 70's band that is still held in high esteem even now. Last night, I read through the entire Wiki page in one go after listening to Whole Lotta Love, Kashmir and Stairway to Heaven and a few others, and I was surprised that they were... this famous.

I mean, I knew they were famous, but I never really comprehended just how famous until I read about their achievements. *__* So, I'm hosting a discussion meme in my journal to know what the masses think of . Are they really the greatest rock band of all time? Or is their music just overrated? Or are they old and washed out, soon to be replaced by contemporary talents, and the in-your-face attitude of the wannabe rockette?

What I will tell you, though, is that I love that flamboyant, long-haired look the members had going on, so have a picture:
