In 2021, the Transitional Military Council reserved two seats for youth (aged 35 and under) in the National Transitional Council. This number was increased to seven in 2022 when the Council expanded to 197 members.

Beyond these reserved seats, youth also had indirect representation in the Transitional Council through their participation in various political and non-political groups, in accordance with the guidelines established by the government.
