Deep Day
Get involved with #DeepDay 2026 to amplify support for the deep and celebrate this critical environment for all of humanity.
Deep Day (May 7) is an annual day of global action and awareness celebrating the deep sea, highlighting the threats it faces and calling for its protection. Since launching as Deep Week in 2020 and evolving into Deep Day in 2022, the event has become a focal moment to amplify understanding of the deep sea’s ecological and planetary importance.
Deep Day is also a celebration of the deep-sea community, showcasing initiatives, discoveries, and actions to protect the largest and least explored habitat on Earth. Together, we #DefendTheDeep.
