Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund
Founded in 1979, DREDF is a leading national civil rights law and policy center directed by individuals with disabilities and parents who have children with disabilities. Our mission is to advance the civil and human rights of people with disabilities through legal advocacy, training, education, and public policy and legislative development.
DREDF pursues its mission through education, advocacy, and law reform efforts, and is committed to increasing accessible and equally effective healthcare for people with disabilities.
Advocating for essential affordable, accessible housing integrated into communities.
Preserving, strengthening and enforcing the rights of children with disabilities.
Applying disability non-discrimination laws to the intricate healthcare service delivery landscape.
