Notes: Essential, it's two mermen, one adult and one teen. This is the product of me attempting to figure out the physical design of the beings in my brain.

Hm.

Title: Skeletal Love
Artist: 👁 Image
lyotto

Rating: G
Medium: Graphite, Micron, Photoshop
Notes: This is actually a t-shirt design that I made simply because it was in my head and I wanted it. I had to open a shop for it in order to do white-on-black at Cafepress, though, since I'm currently too lazy to make a stencil and paint it myself. The copyright isn't so big and weird on the shirts and such.

music: Sunburn - Muse
Title: -
Artist: Me, Olivia.
Rating: G
Medium: Collage, Gold leafing, gold Posca marker, coffee, stencling. I think that's all...
Notes: I thought that I might actually participate in a community I belong to. I'm not overly fond of this piece, it's just a bit... meh. This was part of my folio for school. My other piece isn't even worth posting, it neither finished nor any good.

The Siblings Fitzwilliam

Come on, sillies! Communities like this only work if you post your stuff!

Title: The Siblings Fitzwilliam
Artist: Mee, Scout.
Rating: G
Medium: Graphite
Notes: It may be colored, who can say? Anyway, these are some original characters of mine. Claire, whose naked body I posted before, is the sister in the middle. Her other two are Eleanor, to Claire's right (picture's left) and Louise. Her brother is the baby and is called Patrick. Eleanor looks more like Claire than Claire does. (This isn't exactly newly finished, but I thought I'd post it just to get everyone going again.)

Sure, why not.

Hi. I'm a bit of a name collector -- what I sign artwork with is J Lurhstaap R, a derivation of my legal name, so you might as well go with that. I've been working seriously on art for ten years and at least striving for a career for five, though not especially successfully. Many are called, few are chosen, et cetera ad nauseam, I guess.

Lately I've been breaking away from the representative work I've done for most of my career and started moving in a much more symbolic and abstract direction depending on my mood... I don't have much of the symbolic/subconscious-expression stuff scanned but here's some examples of the abstract. I thrive on critique -- if I'm posting here it'll be for that purpose more than anything else. Thanks in advance. :)

Recent Abstracts.Collapse )

Here's a few examples of representative work, too, though all but the Garden are kind of old. I've been doing that so long it doesn't interest me as much anymore. Fractals and abstract is more my speed right now. I'm a dilletante in many respects, art above all.

Representatives.Collapse )

I'll be scanning some of the recent representative work tonight or tomorrow I think, but I want to have a larger group than I already have before I do so. Each one of these is about twice the size of my scanner, so assembling them post-scan is a big enough job that I prefer to do it in big clumps to get it out of the way.

(FYI -- Since as noted I do this as a job, most of what I post unless otherwise noted can be assumed available. Starting with the abstracts shown here. Comment if you're interested. Thank you.)
