(I just finished rereading The Order of the Phoenix (for the 3RD time) last night. That book is really quite brilliant and in places very very funny. But I swear-- if Harry Potter didn't exist, I'd get a helluva lot more work done! SHAME ON YOU, J.K.!!)

Art Night tonight at my house, 6:30ish. I'm making some semblance of dinner: turnip greens, black eyed peas, cornbread (if I can ever get ahold of my grandmother, 'cause I've lost the recipe AGAIN), and some sweet sun tea (no, I have not taken it over any sweet jumps). and I bought Blue Bell ho-made vanilla (made by only the finest hos). Hi everyone!!
To those who might not know, I got into Gallery 19 for the opening this Saturday night. It will be from 7 -ish to 9 -ish-- emphasis on the "-ish"! I will have 2 - 3 pieces hanging, and the show is going to include about 25 local artists. It's bound to be a good time, especially if you have any interest in checking out other local Houston artists as well. You don't have to buy anything. :]
