Darkways is a musical duo from Barcelona, Spain, whose music is rooted in darkwave, post-punk, and gothic rock.
The band was formed in 2023 by Marc Pérez and Lluís Sanz, two guitarists strongly influenced by punk, hardcore punk, and heavy metal, who aimed to explore the darker sounds of 1980s music.[1]

History
[edit]The band self-released their debut extended play, Neon Lights, in 2023.
In 2024, Darkways released their debut studio album, Resonance, through Young and Cold Records.[2] Reviews highlighted its combination of darkwave, post-punk, and 1980s-inspired electronic elements.[3][4][5]
Their second studio album, Rust, was released in 2026.[6] It was described as a darker and more atmospheric continuation of the band's previous work, featuring more complex, raw, and existential lyrical themes.[7][8]
