Moreh is a term for the tradition of the Malay and Muslim community in Malaysia during the month of Ramadan.^[1] It involves the preparation and sharing of light snacks such as cakes at the mosque, surau, or home, after completing the Tarawih prayer.^[2][3] In keeping with the times, moreh is not only held at the mosque or surau, but also in other places where people can gather and eat.^[4] Previously, food would be brought from home to be shared with the congregation. However, now, it is usually prepared by individuals or groups of people in the community.^[5] Some restaurants^[6] and bazaar also start offering moreh.^[7] This tradition has also spread to the Muslim community in Singapore.^[8]
