Sina Khalili (Persian: سینا خلیلی, born 26 June 2006) is an Iranian freestyle wrestler who competes in the 70 kg weight class.
Career
[edit]In 2023, Khalili won the gold medal at the World Cadet Wrestling Championships held in Turkey in the 65 kg category. He defeated wrestlers from Slovakia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Germany, and Russia with dominant scores, including a 10–0 win in the final over Russia's Magomedali Bakhrachiev.[1] Earlier that year, he became the Asian Cadet Champion in the same weight class, defeating opponents from Pakistan, Japan, India and Kyrgyzstan with technical superiority.[2]
At the 2024 Takhti Cup, an international wrestling tournament held in Iran, Khalili defeated Kian Mahmoudjanlou in the final to win the gold medal in the 70 kg category.[3] Khalili competed at the 2024 Senior World Championships in Belgrade after Amir Mohammad Yazdani withdrew due to injury. He achieved dominant wins over Belarus and Kyrgyzstan but lost narrowly 6–5 to Abdolmohid Kodiev of Tajikistan in the quarterfinal and did not advance further.[4]
At the 2025 Asian Wrestling Championships in Amman, Khalili lost in his opening bout to Viktor Rassadin of Tajikistan but advanced to the bronze medal match through repechage. There, he defeated Jordan’s Ziyad Musleh 10–0 and Mongolia’s Tumur-Ochir Tulga 9–2 by fall to claim bronze.[5]
