Hello, and welcome to my user page! I'm a Brazilian Wikipedian, active both here and on the Portuguese Wikipedia. If you want to know more about me and my activities around here, just take a look at the userboxes. Feel free to talk to me at my talk page. If you want to know what I'm up to now, take a look at the "Currently working on" section below or check my personal sandbox.

What I do here

👁 Image
Me at the 2025 WikiCon Brasil working on this and this articles (by Donatas Dabravolskas).

I mostly create and edit articles about music (especially rock, heavy metal and their sub-genres) and about Brazil (mostly geography and some biographies).

I also do lots of maintenance by tagging articles, requesting their deletion or doing some wikifying and cleanup - with special attention to categorization, my favorite maintenance task. I check WP:NEEDCAT and User:Danilo.mac/Category loops regularly and I think you should do it too.

Currently working on

  • Improve/create articles using sources saved in my browser;

On hold

The articles below failed an initial notability evaluation. They'll be kept here until I reach the end of the list and start a second round of evaluations.

  1. Abel Sequera (Spanish musician that leads a prog metal project. No presence in major sources, little presence in minor sources. LOW potential)
  2. Acanthus (band) (German symphonic metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  3. Aeternam (Canadian symphonic metal band with little presence in minor and medium sources. MEDIUM potential)
  4. Aerodyne (band) (appears in minor sources, but does have quite a few fans. LOW potential)
  5. Æxylium (Italian folk metal band that mostly appears in trivial sources. LOW potential)
  6. AfterWinter (Christian prog power metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  7. Água Brava (Brazilian rock band that made some noise back in the 1980s, but went silent until some years ago, when it reunited and secured a few stories in minor sources. MEDIUM potential)
  8. Amon Sethis (French oriental metal band focused on Ancient Egypt themes. The have quite a presence in minor sources, but no single major source to even mention them. MEDIUM potential)
  9. Amyr Abadawn (Singaporean progressive metal project only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  10. The Ancestry Program (German prog rock band mostly absent from non-trivial sources. LOW potential)
  11. The Anchoret (Canadian Progressive metal band whose debut album was reviewed in multiple medium and minor websites and was mentioned in a few major sources. MEDIUM potential.) [4]
  12. Antoine's Legacy (recent, one-album band. Appears in minor and medium sources, but mostly trivial. MEDIUM potential)
  13. Apnea (band) (Brazilian underground supergroup that is only covered in minor or local sources. MEDIUM potential)
  14. Armed Cloud (Dutch prog metal band only appearing in trivial sources. LOW potencial)
  15. Astral Samurai (Finnish instrumental progressive metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  16. Atomic Symphony (Swiss prog metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  17. Auro Control (Brazilian prog power metal band with high-profile guests appearing in some minor Brazilian sources and a couple of minor international ones. MEDIUM potential)
  18. The Aurora Project (Dutch prog metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  19. AVKRVST (Norweigian prog metal band that caused quite a stir in the prog-specializad media - but didn't make much beyond that. I'd wait until it appears in more less niched sources. HIGH potential)
  20. BaK (Australian oriental prog metal duo only found in trivial sources. LOW potential)
  21. Belnejoum (International extreme oriental metal band that mostly appears in trivial sources. LOW potential)
  22. Black Bell Tone (Appears in minor and medium sources, plus one big source (R7) and one in English (they're Brazilian). Would probably thrive given En Wiki's higher tolerance on non-notable material, but I'm not willing to see my time and work go to waste after an AfD. High potential)
  23. Blind Horse (Brazilian stoner/heavy/hard rock band with only trivial presence in sources. LOW potencial)
  24. Carbonica (Appears in minor sources, being mentioned in some bigger ones,. Would probably thrive given En Wiki's higher tolerance on non-notable material, but I'm not willing to see my time and work go to waste after an AfD. Medium potential)
  25. Catchlight (hardly any journalistic coverage, mostly only streaming and database occurrences in searches. Low potential)
  26. Cell15 (faint journalistic coverage, mostly in minor sources; mostly only streaming and database occurrences in searches. Low potential)
  27. Chaosbay (up-and-coming prog metal band that only appears in minor sources yet. MEDIUM potential.)
  28. Chrysalïd (Brazilian-British power metal band that only appears in primary sources and a couple of notes in independent portals. LOW potential)
  29. Cosmosquad (although it is formed by three notable musicians (Barry Sparks, Jeff Kollman and Shane Gaalaas), its media coverage is surprisingly scarce. I got some coverage from Blabbermouth, Louder and a couple of other websites, but mostly trivial. HIGH potential.)
  30. Cova Rasa (Brazilian heavy metal band highly present in undeground media but still only rarely spoken of in more traditional and relevant outlets. I'd wait a bit more before initiating an article. HIGH potential.)
  31. Crusade of Bards (Spanish symphonic power metal band present in a couple of minor sources only. Medium potential.)
  32. The Cyberyam (recent, one-album band. Appears in minor and medium sources, but mostly trivial. Medium potential)
  33. Dark Avenger (band) (Brazilian pioneering power metal band that's unfortunately neglected in major sources (except for mentions following the lead vocalist's death in 2017. MEDIUM potential)
  34. Darktribe (French power metal band only appearing in mostly trivial sources. LOW potential)
  35. Eden Seed (this Brazilian band generated some media attention for having a Muslim guitarist who performed with her burqa. However, since the coverage seems to be focused on that particular fact, and not on the band as a whole, it seems insufficient for an article. LOW potential.)
  36. Edward de Rosa (Italian prog power metal project present only in trivial sources and a couple of Italian ones. LOW potencial)
  37. Edward Reekers (had to redirect this article because it was an unsourced BLP. He seems to be quite well-covered in some domestic sources, but will only appear in casual mentions from other sources, especially those talking about Ayreon. MEDIUM potential)
  38. The Enigma Division (Irish progressive metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  39. Eternity's End (metal opera featuring lots of notable musicians, but didn't apparently generate much media coverage. Might get more attention with future releases. MEDIUM potential)
  40. Etherius (up-and-coming prog metal band that appears in quite a few sources yet, but I'd wait before making the move towards an article creation. HIGH potential.)
  41. Eu Acuso! (extinct Brazilian rock band with only very minor coverage. LOW potential)
  42. Fabulous Bandits (Brazilian western country rock band with some media coverage. MEDIUM potential)
  43. Farzad Golpayegani (Iranian prog metal guitarist. Given that such genre is simply illegal in his home country, I'd expect him to get some attention, but turns out the media isn't caring much. LOW potential.)
  44. Fate's Pride (minor prog Venezuelan band with hardly any coverage. LOW potential.)
  45. Fogalord (Up-and-coming Italian power metal band. Only trivial results return from searches, but could become popular soon. MEDIUM potential.)
  46. ForsiK (Brazilian band that released an EP almost ten years ago and apparently went inactive. LOW potential.)
  47. 4th Dimension (band) (minor Italian power metal group that hasn't caught enough media attention, I'm afraid. LOW potential)
  48. Franck Carducci (French prog rock musician. His latest album The Answer caused a bit of a stir in the prog community, but I'm still skeptical about the chances of this article surviving. An article about the album itself is a real possibility, though. MEDIUM potential.)
  49. Freakeys (I was never able to find sufficient sources for this one-off, Brazilian version of Liquid Tension Experiment. LOW potential)
  50. Frozen Land (band) (Finnish power metal band that barely appears in minor sources, though their albums did get a couple of reviews in fine sources. LOW potential.)
  51. Gamblers Mark (pretty cool Amarican psychobilly trio featured in FarCry 6, but there are only trivial sources for them. LOW potential)
  52. Genius (band) (despite resulting in three albums, featuring lots of notable metal musicians and having been released way before metal operas became a trend, this project has generated only trivial or minor coverage. LOW potential)
  53. Gloom (Brazilian ska punk band with some presence in small and medium sources. Not willing to take a chance on them for now. MEDIUM potential)
  54. Grandfúria (Brazilian indie folk rock band yet to gain more substantial coverage. MEDIUM potential)
  55. Grupo Terramérica (Brazilian Andean music group with just very little coverage. LOW potential)
  56. The Guardians (band) (Belgian stoner/heavy/hard rock band with only trivial presence in sources. Their name doesn't really optimize search results, I might add. LOW potencial)
  57. Harppia (proponents of Brazilian heavy metal and yet mostly present only in minor/trivia sources. Searches are disturbed by the presence of many news stories covering the death of a guitarist that once was in their line-up and also an unusual job offer to be their bassist, which went viral. MEDIUM potential)
  58. The Heathen Scÿthe (Brazilian power metal band with a strong visual approach in its videos and live performances. They have a decent presence in underground sources. I have a feeling it is just about to breakthrough and garner more extensive coverage, even on international sources. HIGH potential)
  59. Helia (band) (one-album Italian band that has been apparently inactive. There are articles in four languages, but all of them are unsourced or poorly sourced. LOW potential)
  60. Hemina (Australian prog metal band; they have a DE Wiki article with quite a few sources and I was able to fetch a couple more, but I'm still not confident about its notability. Maybe I'll wait a little bit. HIGH potential)
  61. High Moonlight (Brazilian heavy metal band with little presence in minor and medium sources. MEDIUM potential)
  62. Hillbilly Rawhide (Brazilian country rock band, there's a PT Wiki article, but poorly sourced. Couldn't find much more. LOW potential)
  63. Heretic (Brazilian band) (Brazilian oriental metal band which appears in a handful of sources, but not more than that. Not yet notable, I guess. MEDIUM potential)
  64. Hollow Haze (Italian prog power band with 20+ years of activity. They have a good presence in minor sources and an article about them is probably feasible by now if someone's willing to dig further, but I'd wait for more presence in bigger sources. HIGH potential)
  65. Ivory Tower (band) (German prog metal band that's been around for over 20 years, but failed to gain much attention from sources. MEDIUM potential)
  66. Kaledon (Italian symphonic power metal project with presence in a number of medium and minor sources. MEDIUM potential.)
  67. Kallomäki (Finnish folk metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  68. Kælling (Portuguse prog metal bandwhich hasn't appeared in many sources so far. MEDIUM potential)
  69. Karnya (Italian band which released an album in 2013 and has since been pretty much inactive. LOW potential)
  70. Katie Kadan (third place on the American The Voice, but not too many sources, I'm afraid. A more thorough search would most likely reveal more references. HIGH potential).
  71. Kattah (Brazilian oriental metal band which only made it to very minor sources. MEDIUM potential)
  72. Khepra (Turkish folk metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  73. Kick the Giant (Finnish prog metal band that's just released their debut album and garnered a handful of reviews in minor sources. Might attract more attention as they tour more and release additional albums. MEDIUM potential)
  74. Kizulariki (Chilean funk/psychedelic music group that barely made out of trivial sources. LOW potential.)
  75. Laboratorium Pieśni (All-female Polish folk group with an apparent reasonable presence in local sources, but since I can't speak the language, I couldn't properly judge the quality of sources. Articles in PL and FR reaffirm my current analysis. MEDIUM potential)
  76. El Lado Oscuro (band) (Argentinian power metal band present only in trivial sources. Searches are disturbed by a song and an album of same name by other artists. LOW potential.)
  77. Laura Petit (I created an article on this Brazilian singer on the PT Wikipedia and it got PRODed in just over 30 minutes, with a subsequent AfD discussion sealing its fate. If the Portuguese Wikipedia feels like is not the time yet, I won't take any chances with the EN one. HIGH potential.)
  78. Lee Luland (I barely know if I'll be able to start the article about his main band Prospekt (band), let alone one for himself. LOW potential)
  79. Legend (band) (Korean power metal band which released one album in 2009 and has since been pretty much inactive. LOW potential)
  80. Legacy of the Seas (Spanish pirate metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  81. LestWeForget (Up and coming English prog metal band only present in trivial sources. LOW potential)
  82. LohArano (Malagasy band that blends metal with local elements. Present almost exclusively on trivial sources, but I believe they'll soon breakthrough like Arka'n Asrafokor did. HIGH potential.)
  83. Lothlöryen (Brazilian folk metal band highly present in undeground media but not so much yet in more traditional and relevant outlets. I'd wait a bit more before initiating an article. HIGH potential.)
  84. Luiz Toffoli (Brazilian metal guitarist only present in trivial sources. His shared unusual surname with a notorious person make searches a little more difficult than usual. LOW potential)
  85. Magic Pie (band) (Norwegian prog rock band that attracted some attention with their album Maestro, but still a little too niche for me to risk an entire entry. MEDIUM potential.)
  86. La Maschera di Cera (Italian prog rock band from the early 21st century that attracted some attention only in highly niche sources. Articles in other languages are mostly poorly sourced. LOW potential.)
  87. Mayki Fabiani (Brazilian guitarist who's walking among giants but hasn't made much of a name for himself alone across sources. LOW potential.)
  88. Meden Agan (band) (Greek power metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  89. Medjay (band) (Brazilian oriental metal band which appears in just a handful of sources. Not yet notable, I guess. LOW potential)
  90. Mental Fracture (Israeli prog metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  91. Metalurgia (Dominican prog metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  92. Metanium (American heavy/power/speed metal band with occasional lyrics in Spanish only found within minor, trivial sources. Thought they' be more covered since appearing in the FarCry 6 soundtrack. LOW potential)
  93. Mind Key (Italian prog metal band that only appears in a handful of niche sources. LOW potential)
  94. Moneda Dura (Cuban rock band only found within trivial sources. Thought they' be more covered since appearing in the FarCry 6 soundtrack. LOW potential)
  95. Muñoz (band) (Brazilian stoner rock duo with little presence in minor and medium sources. MEDIUM potential)
  96. Nautilus (band) (German progressive electronic group with some presence here and there; German sources seem more promising. MEDIUM potential)
  97. Nawather (Tunisian folk/oriental metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential.)
  98. Night Legion (Australian power metal band with some presence in minor sources. LOW potential)
  99. NinémiA (Cypriot prog metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. LOW potential)
  100. No One Spoke (Brazilian symphonic metal band that generated some attention in mostly minor sources. Since the death of their drummer in 2024, they have gone mostly silent and Metal Archives lists them with "split-up" status. Unless they eventually return, I see no chance of more sources being generated. LOW potential)
  101. Northwind (band) (Norwegian prog metal band that apparently is only present in a few minor sources. I say "apparently" because having chosen a name that is already used by quite a few other groups did not really benefit their SEO. LOW potential)
  102. Not Otherwise Specified (band) (American prog metal band with some presence in minor sources. LOW potential)
  103. Skratten (band) (Estonian folk metal band only found within minor, trivial sources. Estonian article is poorly sourced and unsuitable for translation. LOW potential)
