"adding date headers" deletes content

Specifically today, as seen on the reference desk for the pages on the topics , , and , but also on page . (The links are for the differences between revisions.)  ‑‑Lambiam 10:05, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[]

@Lambiam: Yes. But all cleaned up now, I think. See User talk:Scsbot#Blank line cleanup at WP:PNT. —scs () 12:09, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[]

Some really old reference desk templates you apparently had something to do with

[edit]

Hi, so there's a new speedy deletion criterion for old user subpages of users with no edits outside their userspace, CSD U6, and the subpages of User:Clask have gotten caught up in it and were tagged by CSD U6 Bot. You seem to have had some sort of hand in the relevant discussion around these templates (see this thread). I removed the deletion tags for now but any comments you might have to add to this relevant discussion would be appreciated. Graham87 (talk) 15:54, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[]

@Graham87: Wow. That was a long, long time ago.
I'm impressed (and flattered!) that you managed to find that very old WT:RD thread.
Those templates were a fine idea, but they never got formally adopted, and they're completely forgotten, not ever being used (to my knowledge), so deleting them is just about unquestionably the right thing to do, especially since they're lurking privately off under a long-gone user's page.
I'll ping the current reference desk talk page, but I doubt there'll be any pushback.
(Thanks for the trip down memory lane, though!) —scs () 21:09, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[]
