Please join in our efforts to improve the coverage and quality of articles related to Turkey. Scope

The main aim of WikiProject Turkey is to expand and organize Turkey-related articles. This includes all the articles concerning:
History of Turks, History of the Republic of Turkey, history of the Ottoman Empire, history of Turks as it extends to Central Asia, is the "History of the Turkic peoples" a people whose history as a distinct entity extends 2,000 years.,
History of Anatolia, a land whose name has been used interchangeably with Turkey,
Republic of Turkey and its predecessor state, The Ottoman Empire,
Modern Turkish people, including its diaspora, and their culture in its broadest sense.

Goals

Improve the quality and quantity of Turkey-related articles;

By starting articles that need to be created to assure that every aspect of Turkey and its history, Turkish people and Turkish culture is present in Wikipedia,
By improving the existing articles (first to Good article then to Featured article status) so that they are more encyclopedic and of higher quality.

Improve the quality and quantity of Turkey's history-related articles, including those pertaining to the Ottoman Empire/Anatolian beyliks,
Make sure that Turkey-related topics are brought to the attention of the project by adding the {{WPTR}} template to the talk pages of concerned articles.

How to get started

If you are new to Wikipedia, please check out Wikipedia:What is a good article? and Wikipedia:Featured article criteria to see how quality in articles is defined. Turkey, which is a featured article is also a good reference for article structure and flow as well as citation formats. Feel free to ask other members of the project if you have any questions.
Add your name to the participants list and put {{User Wikiproject Turkey member}} on your userpage to identify yourself as a member of the project.
Edit, start or improve articles within the project scope, paying attention to Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Attribution and using citations.
Watch recent edits to articles that have gained status within Wikipedia, making sure that they do not fall in quality.
Help with project tasks listed in the Wikipedia:WikiProject Turkey/Tasks list.
Ask on the talk page about what needs to be done.
