I'm not a linguist and I don't speak many languages. However, I have a lot of experience with online collaboration and care about open knowledge. Most importantly, I know when to ask for help.

My focus is on Swahili and Afrikaans. I'm currently learning these languages and I'm nowhere near proficient but I only edit when I'm reasonably confident that my edits are correct.

I also hope to work on bots to perform various cleanups. I have a background in QA and editorial work, which might come in handy.

I'm particularly interested in:

• Bantu languages (in particular Swahili and Xhosa)
• Languages spoken in South Africa (in particular Afrikaans and Xhosa).

Note that these are interests. I'm not an expert but interested in exploring and learning more...

I have uploaded almost 15,000 audio pronunciations spoken by a friend from Kenya. I intend to document my process and insights gained at some point.
