National Guard drills taking place in Bauska district

From February 28th to March 1st, the National Guard's 1st Riga Brigade will conduct training in Bauska municipality.

The National Guard's Student Infantry Battalion will conduct training in Vecumnieki parish, during which the battalion's combat capabilities will be maintained and improved, while in Memele parish, the National Guard's 53rd Infantry Battalion will improve field combat skills.

Training tasks will be carried out both during daylight and darkness to strengthen the National Guard's ability to perform national defence tasks in various conditions. During the training, the National Guard will learn field combat skills in a forested area in well-defined areas, as well as improve individual skills in performing various tasks – so don't be surprised if you see troops on the move in and around Bauska district.
