LISTEN: Latvian Symphony Orchestra and James Sherlock in concert
Late February saw the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra's reunion with British conductor and pianist  James Sherlock, who has previously performed as a soloist and conductor at the Cēsis Concert Hall and the GORS arts centre in Rēzekne.
LISTEN: Jörg Widmann (and sister Carolin) farewell concert
On Friday, March 13th, the three-year collaboration of the State Chamber Orchestra "Sinfonietta Rīga" with composer, clarinetist and conductor Jörg Widmann, who was the orchestra's artistic partner, ended with a celebratory concert in the Great Hall of the University of Latvia.

In the final of the Supernova contest on February 14, it was announced live that singer Atvara had won the contest and would represent Latvia on May 14 with the song "Ēnā" ("In the shadow") in the second semi-final of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.

The romantic ballad 'Tuvums' ('Closeness') by popular singer Dons was recognized as the best song of the past year on the Latvian Television/Latvian Radio 2 show Muzikālā banka 2025 (Musical bank 2025) on January 24th.
German duo records version of Latvian choral favourite
German Martin Pfeffer once accidentally and unexpectedly fell in love with Latvian music. He has been singing in the Berlin Latvian Choir for several years. Now Martin and his duet partner Martina Gote have created their own version of the Latvian choral favourite "Morning and Evening Song" (Rīta un vakara dziesma) by Raimonds Tiguls and Rasa Bugavičūte-Pēce.
