EUDEC’s Network

Across Europe, more than 100 democratic schools are actively fostering environments where student voice, choice, and agency take centre stage. Alongside them, hundreds of emerging initiatives are working to embrace the values of self-directed learning and shared decision-making, on their way to becoming fully democratic learning communities.

Why Schools Join EUDEC

Schools, educators, families, and students join EUDEC to become part of a vibrant, supportive European network committed to transforming education through democratic principles. As a member, you’ll gain access to:

  • Cross-European partnerships
  • Student and teacher exchange programmes
  • Annual meetings and conferences
  • A wealth of shared experiences, resources, and inspiration

Supporting New Democratic Schools

EUDEC is proud to support a growing number of start-up groups, passionate educators and communities who are in the process of founding new democratic schools across Europe.

If you’re planning to start a democratic school, joining EUDEC gives you access to our Start-Up Support Pack, created by the EUDEC Council to help guide your journey from vision to reality.
