Neko-chan Productions is proud to announce their 1st round of auditions for their rendition of the 7th SailorMoon Musical (aka SeraMyu), Kaguya Shima Densetsu (The Legend Of Kaguya Island) coming to the 5th season of TAKII! For those of you who are unaware, SailorMoon exists in manga, anime, live-action, & musical formats (the later of which is commonly referred to as SeraMyu). SailorMoon musicals have been running on stages across Japan since 1993, going well beyond the storylines created for the manga & the anime series. However, none of the musicals have been imported to the USA as of yet & this is where Neko-chan Productions comes in. Their production of Kaguya Shima Densetsu will serve as the ultimate plea from SailorMoon fans all over the nation to Naoko Takuechi (SailorMoon creator) & the other Japanese companies that made SM possible that their continuance of the legacy of SailorMoon would not only be appreciated, but remembered for all time.

Extreme Fusion: TAKII & T-Mode Announce Ground-Breaking Co-Branded Festivities In 2008

January 12th, 2008 -- Upper Darby, PA -- Requested by popular demand, popular Arlington, VA-based anime convention T-Mode has invited & is collaborating with The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational's D-chan to bring the Asian fusion festival's TAKII World Tour to T-Mode on September 5th-7th 2008 in a display of cultured ecstasy that has to be seen to be believed.

"I had designs to attend TAKII 4 ~Rhythm D-Generation X-Treme~ back in August 2007, but wasn't able to do so. However, I have heard nothing but wonderful things about the unique experience TAKII puts on each season for its fans", says Lawrence Stuckey, T-Mode Chairman. "Having the TAKII World Tour play such an integral part in T-Mode 2008 will be both a pleasure & an honor."

According to the T-Mode website, the TAKII World Tour will feature a live performance of D-chan's demo EP, "Tamashi no Rufuran (Soul's Refrain)", in addition to a hybrid version of TAKII's classic Asian Karaoke Idol & Who's Got No Talent shows. The fun doesn't stop there, as shortly after T-Mode 2008's signature Cosplay Villains Ball will follow the newest addition to the TAKII World Tour line-up, X-Treme X-Pose (an Asian culture dance/rave taken to hardcore extremes).

"The TAKII brand has been able to thrive thanks to people & organizations, such as T-Mode, who think outside of the 'con'-ventional box", remarks Chris Flagg, a TAKII Co-Coordinator. "As we continue to raise our own bar of entertainment excellence, we look increasingly forward to expanding our reach to the stars above in Asian culture appreciation."

T-Mode 2008
T-Mode, an anime & video game convention based out of Arlington, VA, made its debut in the summer of 2007. Organized by a dedicated group of individuals led by Chairman Lawrence Stuckey, T-Mode promises an intimate & memorable anime con experience each & every year, with 2008 not being an exception. Events include a signature Cosplay Villains Ball, guests of honor D-chan & Johnny Yong Bosch, gaming tourneys, & more!

...& with this press release, we take a look at 2 particular world championship-calibur competitions that are true favorites among TAKII faithful, AMV BATTLE ROYALE & COSPLAY BATTLE ROYALE:

AMV BATTLE ROYALE
In what was considered a true main event withn itself at TAKII 4, we are proud to announce the returning of "AMV Battle Royale" to TAKII 5 ~Shin Seiki (Neon Genesis)~! The more energy & spirit you guys, the TAKII faithful, pump into "AMV Battle Royale", the more of a crowning jewel it will become in the AMV world. Judges for this contest will only be YOU, the rabid TAKII fans! Winners in each category will receive special recognition here on the TAKII website, as well as a nifty gift to solidify their supremacy on the TAKII "AMV Battle Royale" scene.

Championship categories include the "Most Extreme" Award (an AMV that stretches the confines of reality to a true TAKII extreme & is a true fan-favorite) & the TAKII 5 Championship Challenge (an AMV that adheres to this season's special stipulation: creators can only use wrestling entrance themes in a unique blend of both Asian culture & sports entertainment). Submissions can be made online & via postal mail (adhering to all contest rules/regulations). THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR "AMV BATTLE ROYALE" IS MARCH 20th, 2008!



COSPLAY EXHIBITIONS ~BATTLE ROYALE~
For those of you who don't know what "cosplaying" is (....yes, folks, it's possible someone out there doesn't know ^_^), it's the act of dressing up as your favorite character/personality from anime, manga, TV, movies, or otherwise. Others take it to a whole new level in actually sounding & acting like their namesakes. If any of this sounds like you, then Cosplay Exhibitions ~Battle Royale~ is for you! Since TAKII 3, our cosplay offerings have continued to shock & awe TAKII enthusiasts to new heights each & every season, with TAKII 5 ~Shin Seiki (Neon Genesis)~ not being any different.

Along with our time-tested classics, we will be adding some new festivities for this season's Cosplay Battle Royale, which will include you having the opportunity to win awards & prizes in the following: Classic Male Cosplay, Classic Female Cosplay, Classic Thespian Cosplay (aka cosplay skits), Iron Cosplay (a-la Japanese culinary smash hit "Iron Chef") & a brand new festivity in TAKII's Next Top Cosplayer (a mixed-take in The CW's "America's Next Top Model" & VH1's "America's Most Smartest Model"). In "TAKII's NTC", contestants will have their skill sets on display in multiple challenges: Anime Acumen (knowledge), Photogenic Fancy (photo shoot), Press Junket Jam (random Q+A w/the audience), & Pose-Down SmackDown (classic runway presentation w/a TAKII twist: all contestants taking turns posing, no holds barred, for TAKII fans & getting raucous reactions). Contestants will be eliminated after each round, with only 1 cosplayer left standing!

TAKII 5 ~Shin Seiki (Neon Genesis)~ is glad to formally announce the commencement of table space registration & the debut of a TAKII-exclusive: the #1 Contender's Pass! Keep in mind, TAKII 5 is still FREE to enter; this pass will only gain you more exclusive access, TAKII-style.

A NEW way to register debuts this season at TAKII 5 ~Shin Seiki (Neon Genesis)~! Would you like to pay a-la-carte for the things you have loved doing for the past 4 seasons (ie: the contests, the vocal drama, & our upcoming new shows/games) & spend MORE MONEY? If this doesn't sound like you, then TAKII fans will be glad to know about our uber-seksi "#1 Contender's Pass", which everyone can register for online (at a reduced rate), or at the festival itself (at normal price), but either way, a huge savings compared to paying for each fee-related event singularly.
