Since 2013, the CIES Football Observatory has developed a statistical model to assess the transfer value of professional football players on a scientific basis (see this paper in the International Journal of Finance Studies). This tool provides access to the top estimated transfer value per club in 70 leagues worldwide by considering a range of 10% above and below the predicted financial capacity of the most likely buyer. Fair prices for all players are available on a paid subscription basis.
