I’m reading the novel Then We Came to the End and the following conversation confuses me.
Context: Jim and Benny were colleagues before Benny got sacked. Few years later, Jim became the boss of another agency and hired Benny to work for him. The two were discussing whether Benny could move from his cube to an office:
