A tricky quote

Can you tell me the meaning of the quote below?

(My guess is that dreams can hardly be accomplished because reality can not deliver dreams properly and often breaks them. But I'm not sure.)

▪ 'Dreams are fragile. Reality is a clumsy postman.' - Faye McCray

Regards.
If you send fragile items through the postal system, there is a chance they will be broken. In this case, the fragile items are dreams ... and the postman delivering them ("reality") is clumsy, making it even more likely they will be broken.

"Dreams are fragile, reality is a hammer" is another way of looking at it. When they come into contact with each other, dreams don't usually survive.
