about gambling

Hello friends,

In an American movie called "memoirs of an invisible man", some guys were gambling and one of them said: "red dog, face of red dog... Nothing is wild and it starts with vin, 6 dollars on the pot."

could anybody tell me what this means please?
Thank you.
It sounds like a card game, but not one which I am familiar with. Jargon like 'red dog' , 'face of a red dog' mean nothing to me, but are clearly the jargon of the particular game.

In some poker-based games, there are wild cards (cards which can represent any card of your choice), which are often 'deuces' (twos) or one-eyed Jacks (Jacks which only show one eye). 'Nothing is wild' means that, in this game, there are no wild cards.

'It starts with Vin' means Vin (probably an abbreviated form of Vincent, or Vincenzo) is the first to bet.

'6 Dollars on the pot' is probaly the 'ante' bet, which is the amount you stake before you see your cards.

Hope this helps.
