Yo propongo "with time (o "as time went by") I got (more) comfortable with the dynamics of the company" por ejemplo, aunque hay muchas variantes posibles. Pero afianzarse, o sea, coger confianza, se puede traducir con "to get comfortable". O también con "I got to know" en el sentido de "llegué a conocer.."
