if i was to say 'an adolescent aged 18' in french, would you say: 'un adolescent âgé de 18ans.' ?
or is it with an auxiliary verb?
so that it would be 'un adolescent a âgé de 18 ans'

Je sais bien que 18 ans c'est encore dans les "teen" mais en France, je me demande si un garçon, que dis-je, un jeune homme, ne serait pas vexé d'être appelé "adolescent" à 18 ans...

I don't agree, as an 18-year old boy has not ended growing up, and has often even no beard...
I would start calling someone un jeune homme from 20 at least, not before, as it would sound particularly ironic or even sarcastic.
There is absolutely nothing pejorative in being called un adolescent. It is just a matter of fact: an 18-year old boy is NOT an adult, both physically and mentally speaking. 👁 Smile :)
