Hi,guys.Should I say:"You must alter/redo your documents as through their preparation has been done wrongly".Thanks a lot
To 'alter' a document is to make one or more changes to it. To 'redo' a document is to scrap it and start all over again.

I don't understand what you mean by 'as through their preparation has been done wrongly'. I think you need to redo your sentence. 👁 Smile :)
But I don't know how to redo it properly. How to explain that there were some mistakes, inaccuraties in the documents.I'd be grateful for the help.
My comment on your sentence was meant more as an illustration of how to use 'redo'.

We can't rewrite sentences here, (and to do so here would be going off topic anyway), but se16teddy's right - 'through' is wrong'.
Perhaps by "through their preparation" you simply mean "in their preparation". In any case, you don't want to say "alter". That is a good word meaning "change" but it also carries a lot of potentially negative connotations in the area of documents. Documents that have been "altered" send up red flags (warning signals) all over the place.

Try re-writing your sentence and post it in this thread.
Sorry, but it was an erratum, actually I meant "such as their preparation has been done ..."
You must redo your documents such as their preparation has been done wrongly.

That still does not communicate what you want, I think.

You must redo your documents in as much as their preparation has been done incorrectly.
