Is my use of "although" grammatical and acceptable?
I used it to reduce the force of main clause, and I read in a dictionary that it can be used in that way. Am I right?

It’s perhaps a little ambiguous, since it could be read in either of these ways:

EE sold more than its counterpart, although the difference was not large.
= EE sold more than its counterpart, despite the fact that the difference was not large.
= EE sold more than its counterpart; however, the difference was not large.

It's grammatical but could be made shorter and therefore better: Espresso Express also sold slightly more flat whites than its counterpart.
