bad feels

According to Zo’s developers, she will remember if you tell her that a relationship has ended and counsel you to feel better over the course of several days. So I wrote, “I am sad because I just broke up with my girlfriend.”
“NOPE. NOOOOOPE,” Zo wrote back. “I don’t like bad feels around my friends. This is unacceptable.”
“But my girlfriend left me for another guy!”

This is from a book: Talk to Me written by Jame Vlahos. I'd like to know what "bad feels around my friends" means. Does it mean "unhappy things happening to my friends"?
Thanks in advance.
Probably.

It's hard to know exactly, but that's how I would interpret it.

It is, of course, very casual, slangy English.
It is simply a short form of "feelings." Very common at the moment among younger people - will probably be considered passé in a few years time.

I don't recommend older people using it now or in future. It will sound as though they are trying to be 'down with the kids'.
