"The days when we are busiest are Fridays."

I found this sentence in a grammar book and it looks awkward to me.
I can't actually see anything wrong with it except that "We are busiest on Fridays" says the same thing in a simpler way.

Which thing "in a simpler way"?
In my understanding: "Fridays are our busiest days" would be the correct sentence.
"Fridays are our busiest days" and "We are busiest on Fridays" say exactly the same thing as far as I'm concerned.
