Hi Folks:
Question: What can I do to be a "Beacon" to someone who is : perplexed by many conflicting situations or statements; filled with bewilderment; "bewildered and confused" ?

Leibo
Hi leibo and welcome to the forum. 👁 Smile :)

Did you try looking up "beacon" in dictionaries before posting? While a beacon can be a solid object with a light attached which warns of danger, it can also be used metaphorically to represent a person who gives guidance to another.

Dictionary.com gives two useful definitions for "beacon" which could be applied in this situation:

5.a person, act, or thing that warns or guides. 6.a person or thing that illuminates or inspires: The Bible has been our beacon during this trouble.

Merriam-Webster also gives a useful definition:

3 : a source of light or inspiration

I hope that helps. 👁 Smile :)
Utilizing definition 6.a--how would I :illuminate" or "guide" soemone--what do i say or do to accomplish this? More specifics: Male (me) Female (she)-confused by conflicting statements, etc--how would I "illuminate" the path to "ME"?
I can't really give you an answer to that, since I do not know what the issues are that are confusing your friend. Also, I think that's straying into the field of relationship advice, which is definitely far beyond the scope of this forum!

We can help you with English usage, grammar and the like, but giving specific advice on what you should say to another individual in a particular situation, about which we know nothing, is basically impossible.

In a very general way, you illuminate the path for someone by making the issues clear, perhaps by simplifying the complexities that they are facing and helping them to find a path through them. As I said, however, there's no way I can tell you exactly what to say to achieve this!
