How to understand " bring a perspective" as in the following sentence?

He will bring an exciting perspective to the School this summer!
From Gregory Rosenthal, in his own words

As an English learner, it's always confusing to fully understand the word "perspective" ( a way of thinking). Can anyone explain this to me? I appreciate it!
perspective = point of view = ideas = outlook = position etc etc

There is nothing "strange" about this word. (I"m sure it exists in your own language).
He'll share with everyone at the school his way of seeing things. It doesn't have to be only about his academic interests; he may have some insights on how the students should be approached, how the university should be run etc.
Hi,
is it correct to say " a work experience overseas could bring me a new perspective" or I should say "a work experience overseas could bring a new perspective to me" ?
