carbon-neutral

England, English
Talking about a school being "carbon neutral" through the use of renewable and/or non-polluting energy sources (not the purchase of carbon credits)

ce serait charbone-neutral

?

👁 Confused
'à empreinte écologique neutre' is nearer to the English phrase, but it is very seldom used in French. The context needs to be very environmental and scientific.
So I'd go with Stefan's suggestion.
Ok thanks everyone 👁 Smile (:
I'll go with Stefan's then because it's the simplest 👁 Smile (:
English has loads of phrases for describing climate change but it seems the French hardly have any :/ Hmm ...
Je pense que de nos jours on dit "neutre en carbone", non?
La traduction exacte est « neutre en carbone » et c’est aujourd’hui répandu, après on peut chercher des détours…
Au Canada: "carboneutre".
Tellement simple et pratique à utiliser.
