Hi,

I need to translate this warning on the packaging of some birthday candles into French. The phrase to translate is 'Do not burn candles on or near anything that can catch fire'

My attempt:
[...] des objets qui riqsuent de prendre feu

thanks but flammable is not the same as anything that can catch fire...

CNRTL's definition of inflammable: "Qui est susceptible de prendre feu et qui brûle en produisant une flamme."
It fits in this context. If you want to be less specific, you can write "susceptibles de prendre feu".

"Ne pas utiliser objets susceptibles de prendre feu / inflammables."

I would say "N'allumez pas ces bougies à proximité d'une substance ou d'objets inflammables"
