I just start this new topic to check a translation.
Context: a woman, who has been abducted by aliens, tells us what happened when she came back. Her account is amazing, and I'm not sure to have understood it well. She says:
"They were celebrating and they said they wanted to share it with me, because my research or their research was... interesting" (!)
My try:
"Ils célébraient quelque chose et m'ont dit qu'ils voulaient partager ça avec moi, car mes recherches ou leurs recherches étaient... intéressantes"

Sounds good to me (perhaps : et ils m'ont dit vouloir m'y associer, car...)
